Pity the poor moron who still refers to Men At Work, vegemite sandwiches and Outback Steakhouse as being Australia’s contribution to culture. The latest import from Down Under are the Amity Affliction, a quintet who are continuing to smear the lines of demarcation between metal and post-hardcore for maximum thrills. Although they’ve been around for the better part of eight years, America is only now getting acquainted with the kind of fury these dudes routinely dish out. Their new album, Chasing Ghosts, was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, but you should come see them on the AP Tour, because the PA systems on our tour are hella louder than your computer speakers (or ear buds, for the wussiest amongst us).
