so this AP tour was my first! we stayed at a hotel downtown. We woke up at seven!! to catch the busses as the rolled in to cleveland. We saw some girls who were waiting already but they werent too nice so instead we decided to find our own way to meet the bands. We found the tour busses in this weird back alley. They were sick with the ap logo and everything. We met some girls there who were really nice. After rain, hail, and a little weirdly timed sun we met Christofer Drew! he was super sweet and even gave one of the girls i was with a personal photo shoot and another girl gave him a turtle ha. It was awesome they also gave us free rockstar energy drinks. And we met The Denison! (i told him i loved his music but he just walked away :( It was already time to get in line at the venue since we had been waiting for chris for like five hours. When we waited in line another friend of ours joined us and then it started hailing. The ap people gave us free posters and wonka candy. When we got inside we met the CAB!!! and they signed our posters :) When the concert finally started i was so pumped. the summer set came on and then the whole tour joined them onstage while sitting on their tour bus seats hah. Jersey kept playing pranks on them and everyone else. then every avenue came out and dave was a little tipsy. He crowd sufed and brian from tss sang one of their songs. The cab was amazing and then hey monday came on!! i was soo excited to see them and my life was completed when they threw me their drum stick!!! i flipped out and met some kids behind me. I then helped them crowd surf but it didnt last long and she fell onto the floor hahah the maine came out as a suprise and were great! by the time never shout never came on we were really tired but were energized when they popped confetti onto the crowd. his set was awesome and even played an encore! when we left we saw the replacment guitarist for the cab who was awesome and smashed his really nice guitar during the last song of their set. i was so honored and happy to be at the finale stop on the ap tour! it was the best night of my life!! i met new friends, saw people i really rescpect play live and CAUGHT A FRIKEN DRUMSTICK!!! (plus i wear my hey monday and never shout never braclet and mustache necklace every day) thanks ap tour! BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! even though we all had colds afterwards best reason to have a cold
My favorite AP tour memory was from the AP tour last year! I went to the show in Buffalo, NY and it was amazing! All of the bands were really good but when Family Force Five took the stage they took me by surprise! The were all dancing and truly enjoying themselves that it pumped me up and made me excited for the rest of the show! I mostly went to the show to see 3OH!3 and as usual they did not disappoint the crowd! I don't think there was a moment during their set was I was not jumping up and down and having a blast!!!
For this years AP TOUR i could not go because tickets were sold out. but i was doing street team for fueled by ramen and went anyways to pass out fliers:) I still Stuck around after doors opened becasue maybe i could meet anyone of the bands. this took place in NYC and outside of the doors there are always at least 5 people selling tickets but i had a bad experience with that and the tickets turned out to be fake so i didnt want to make that mistake again. Before the show started i met Jac Vanek!!! then about 20mintues into the show i met all the guys from The Cab, about an hour later i met all the guys from Every Avenue, i would have met the members from Hey Monday but they were in a rush to get in:( with the exception of Hey Monday all the other bands were outside during the concert talking to the people out side it was so thoughtful! I later got tired of standing around so i went to the side of the venue to sit and saw Josh and john pulling out their equipment it was so cool!!!! i was so speechless and didnt know what to say i guess Josh saw the excitement on my face and started conversation by asking me if i had a cigg lighter lol... then i saw Jess pull up in the bands van I walked up to the side of the van and asked her for a picture she told me she was bored to come to the other side of the van and talk to her it was REALLY insane!!!! After i was very fortunate to get a free ticket from one of the men out selling tickets!!! I ran inside and was able to catch Hey Monday perform i walked around the venue and later caught up with all the other members of the Summer Set!!! AS i was talking to them Christopher Drew passed directly behind me even said excuse me my heart skipped a beat!!! i would love a chance to relive meeting them there's so much i would like to say to them.. not to mention I HAVE THE ILL CRUSH on Stephen Gomez:) going to The Vans Warped Tour and meeting them would be the Cherry to my year!!! THIS YEARS AP TOUR WAS SO MEMORABLE!!!!!!! this AP TOUR i got to eat wonka candy got a free AP tour magazine got to meet an inspiration of mine JAC VANEk and saw the man of my dreams( stephen gomez) i think i truly had the best experience this years AP TOUR 2010
The whole night was great. But nothing made my night better than being able to check AP's tour twitter and see it said "meet nevershoutnever at doors ap booth" and so I get in there and nobody knows about it. I run over to the AP booth and chill with my buddy as we watch Christopher Drew run to the booth as EVERY girl in the crowd screams as loud as possible and forms some sort of crazy mob to chase him. But security lined up and stopped them all as I had a good laugh with christopher drew. The bands did AMAZING and I will for sure be attending next year.
Golly, the whole entire AP Tour was breathtaking this year. There are a million things I could say about it, but I probably don't have the time. I went to the AP Tour in Charlotte. The drive was an hour and a half, but it was totally worth it. I think the absolute best part, though, was when I kept pushing through, and eventually got dead center for Hey Monday, The Cab, and special guests, Mayday Parade. By the time Never Shout Never came on, I was standing front row center. It was amazing. Let's not forget that I almost passed out FIVE TIMES because it was so freaking hot. I didn't though, not once, and it all paid off when I got some awesome pictures and made some awesome memories with people I'll never see in my life again. I made new friends and enjoyed the whole night as if it was my last. That is what made my AP Tour so amazing, meeting new people and listening to great music. Thanks for that. :)
Its tough to actually compare which AP Tour I've had the best memories. Its wierd seeing how many different people come to see all or one of the bands and end up leaving more entertained. The best AP Tour memory that I had this year was just being able to experiance it with my friend Cassie. I even went to the lengths of ditching my government class just so I could get home early and get ready. Call it senioritest if you want but it wasn't, it was the thrill of knowing that I ditched to see another one of my favorite tour's with 5 new amazing bands on the list. I guess that was my favorite before show memory. Ditching school. Sure I only had 3 classes and government let out at 12:10 but getting out at 10:33 was a hella lot better! However the show itself was amazing! My highlight was being able to meet Jess again, only this time I met her in OUR home state of Arizona. Last time I had met her was in Portland, OR over the summer with my adorbale sister Kenny. I think our conversation at the AP Tour in Tempe, AZ was great. Trying to tell a person who sees hundreds of fans a day while on tour about how my little sister who she'd met 9 months earlier is hard especially when you dyed your hair dark. Hmm... I think the AZ date was kind of great because TSS brought a bunch of local bands out to visit the tour and made it more house warming, but also make it a little nuts! *coughstephengettingdraggedoutandstayinginthebathroomforalongtime*
So to put it in a nutshell my favorite memory of the AP Tour was:
ditching school 2 hours early
chatting it up with jess
spending time with my great friend Cassie
oh and having everyone i met sign my Oscer the Grouch hat. (who remembers that? no one? darn)

lame but well worth the forever lasting enjoyment!
This year, I wasn't even supposed to be going to the AP Tour. The tickets were sold out for the show in detroit, and on a school night. But like 3 days before spring break, my uncle got in a huge car accident so instead of going to california and having fun on spring break, i was going to california to be at the hospital with my uncle. The first few days i was there, it was pure hell. Then on Wednesday, my cousin and a few of my friends surprised me and took me to the house of blues. playing at the house of blues that night? the AP tour. Hey Monday is like my 2nd favorite band so i was sooo excited. when we first went in, my cousin said we were too late to meet cassadee pope so i was really bummed. i perked back up when hey monday came on for their set, and in the middle, my decade was made(even though the decade had just started)...cassadee sang happy birthday to me! then i got to meet her after the show. she is my biggest hero and she really has no idea how much it meant to me. That memory is by far my favorite memory of the AP tour!
I made one of the best decisions of my year when I chose to skip my Senior Prom and go to the final show for the AP Tour 2010. I got my white pants signed by The Cab before the show, and saw Josh and John walking around while they were on STICKAM, and they always make me smile. When The Summer Set was on stage, I think I was having more fun than I'd had all year. They are infectiously happy. Everyone from the tour came out during TSS's cover of You Belong With Me, and I was just blown away by the obvious love and friendship between all of the bands. That song was actually perfect for them to all sing together. I loved watching the pranks throughout the night, it made for quite an entertaining and hilarious experience. Then after Hey Monday performed, the curtains closed, and I knew there was going to be a special guest playing (and earlier that day I had guessed who it would be)...when the curtains opened and I saw John and Jared from The Maine sitting there, I burst into tears (it was really embarrassing hahaha). It couldn't have been more perfect. Then, to make the night even more epic, when I was wandering around the lobby with my friend, Miranda Cosgrove (a.k.a. iCarly!!) was hanging around. She took a picture with me and also signed my pants and was super nice. I still don't understand why she was there, but I'm pleased nonetheless. When I watched Nevershoutnever perform a cover of "Across the Universe," I could feel how deeply the lyric "nothing's gonna change my world" was fitting for that night. Because concerts and music is truly what I love most in the world, and nothing is going to change that. The only complaint I would have is that I didn't get to have a prom dance with Stephen Gomez in honor of skipping prom, or that I didn't get to meet anyone. However, there's always Warped Tour =] so it's okay. I'm so grateful to the entire crew and bands of the AP Tour for such an incredible night.
My favorite memory is simple. I went to the Clifton Park AP Tour show and upon walking in, The Cab was signing at the AP booth. I walked up to Alex Deleon and before I could say anything, Alex reached out his hand and said, "Hi I'm Alex, what's your name?" Alex Deleon introduced himself to me, like I had no idea who he was. I have met him prior to this, but this certain instance really caught me off guard. I realized how truly humble Alex is. He introduced himself to me, when clearly I already knew he was. This small action of his really restored my faith in the music industry. Alex single handily proved to me that there are musicians out there without an ego. To most people this probably seems ridiculous or even stupid, but it is honestly my favorite memory of the night. I will always remember Alex being so kind.
I had a lot of good memories from the ap tour, but i think this is the best one. I was standing in line to get into the concert when i saw a young teenage girl with a sign that said "will give head for a ticket"...later on I saw her in the concert. ticket sales at its best!
Where do I even begin!? Well I definitely agree with everybody else, The AP Tour is seriously amazing every year. That's why I was especially stoked when they announced that Hey Monday was going to be a part of it this year because they are my absolute favorite band. Plus, Every Avenue, The Summer Set and The Cab are in my top ten favorite soo needless to say I was stoked.
Just in case anyone cares, I went to the Salt Lake City show. But anyway the whole day in and of itself was incredible but if I had to choose one part to call my favorite it would definitely be meeting Hey Monday. We met them before the show and talked to them for about 20 minutes and it pretty much made my life because my brother, my two friends and I have seen Hey Monday many times before so they remembered us and were like “It’s so good to see you again!” To me, having your favorite band tell you that is a pretty big deal! I can't even express in words how excited I was. We had a ton of presents for them (everything from candy to a lifesize Barbie doll) and seeing them soo happy made me super happy. PLUS I got to see Alex Lipshaw and he is pretty much my favorite thing in life. We also ended up winning the Wonka contest so we got to have a private meet & greet with them. I was kind of bummed because I didn't get to be front row the whole time but it was SO worth it. The Wonka representive (who was super, super nice and helpful) took us down to the green room and we walked in and Jersey sarcastically says "Oh geez, way to bring us people we already know" haha. So we walked over I was totally absorbed with Alex, I probably said 5 words to everyone else in the band haha whoops. But I made Alex a scrapbook with pictures and letters from fans that had about 20 or 30 pages. He absolutely loved it so that made me even more stoked. I gave it to him and he looked through it and was like "Do I get to keep this?" hahaha it was so cute. But yeah that was my favorite part! If I told you everything else about that night that I loved I would probably write a novel so I’ll leave it that. (:
Well I went to The APTour for my birthday and I wanted to bring my 2 best friends and I did but in order to bring one of them I had to have an adult to come with because one of my friend's moms was really strict so this sounds really lame but I brought my mother. My mom stayed in the back and we sadly didn't get to see The Summer Set but after the concert she said "There was a really cute guy that played for The Summer Set" and she we had her describe how he looked to find out it was Stephen. My friends and I where a little grossed out at first (and we still are a little bit) but we will always remember it. To the day we still tease her about it and probably will forever but it was beyond an awesome time that we had and hopefully at The Summer Set's next concert we will get to see them(but next time we are not bringing my mom but we are going to try our best to get something signed my Stephen for her). I can not wait for their next concert. :)
