My favorite memory was definitely AP Tour 2008. I was stoked about pretty much all of the bands (The Matches, Forever the Sickest Kids, The Rocket Summer, All Time Low)! That lineup was crazy! Cleveland, the city of rock n' roll, was the last stop on the tour, so it was guaranteed to be one hell of a show. The entire evening was perfect, it was a fantastic experience, but to narrow it down to the best moment, I would have to say it was the ending to Forever the Sickest Kids' set that always sticks in my mind. FTSK was the very first act, but the room was already going nuts. (This is it!): Feeding off of the excitement and energy of the crowd Jonathan decided to stage dive.. I remember it perfectly.. Clearly, people caught him but he wasn't on the surface, he was down for quite a while and security was reaching at him, trying to get him back up. When he was finally pulled back on stage he was missing his shirt, both shoes, and one of his socks. He looked like he had just experienced a violent run-in with a grizzly bear.. or barracuda.. It was insane. That set the tone for the rest of the night.
I will say that i have had the oppurtunity to go to quite a few concerts in my life. but i never seem to be able to catch ANYTHING, my friend always seems to get nifty stuff or when she goes to the bathroom she seems to always run into someone. So anyways we're at the concert, it's at the end of the last set, and a drumstick gets thrown out, and IT LANDS RIGHT BEHIND ME AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT. Then this guy in front of me rushes behind me and grabs it, and i might of have called him a little douche for it, (completely being sarcastic not meaning it in anyway, i mean good for him right??) and he just looks at me and BREAKS IT IN HALF. Right there on the spot like it didnt even mean anything!! So now i have half a drumstick from the famous Rain Dawson hanging on my wall. :) Best night ever.
Tickets to my show sold out pretty fast so i spent all of my spare time entering contests to win tickets kinda like now. I entered Never Shout Never's video contest and the day before the show i got an e-mail saying i won! So the next day i went down to the House of Blues to redeem my tickets and the lady was like oh, you'll be on Never Shout Never’s guest list but he hasn't turned in the list yet. I was like I'M ON THE GUEST LIST! but there was only about an hour before the show and I couldn’t get in because they didn't have the guest list! Eventually I got my tickets and as soon as I walked in The Cab was sitting there signing posters so of coarse I got one. The show was amazing and the pranks were great! I think the Summer Sets prank was the best! I laughed so hard when they came out with Christopher Drew on the Summer Sets van bench! Later on I got to meet Joey Thunder from The Cab and gasp when Dave from Every Avenue fell off the stage. It was a very memorable night and I'd love to see The Summer Set again!
This year was my first year at AP Tour. It was fun. I was rockin' out to Every Avenue in the middle of their song "Girl Like That." I was pretty stoked because I seemed to be the only one within a ten person radius that actually knew the song and that actually liked Every Avenue. So as I was singing and dancing and jumping, Josh, the guitarist, locked eyes with me for about a good ten seconds. He smiled. I smiled, then realized that I had stepped on someone's gum. I tried to act like everything was okay and tried to act like I was really smiling back, but on the inside, I was freaking out that I had effed up my brand new shoes. hahah.
SO I don't know if this contest is still open? But I hope so!

Alright so the show that I went to was the AP Fall Ball 2009! alright so it was one of my first shows, and being at the San Diego House of Blues it has a good view of the stage whether you're close on the floor or back up the stairs .
Anyways, The band that gave me my favorite memory would either have to be Set Your Goals or Mayday Parade...
During SYG's set there was a ROWDY, CHAOTIC crowd. It was a pretty intense experience with guys jumping around and going absolutely CRAZY! (The only crowd I'd have to say that outdid this one was NOFX @warped09 mainstage) and it was pretty cool because at the end of the show I met Matt Wilson and he signed a poster for me that said 'U R WONDERFUL!" which was pretty awesome because most people just put an unrecognizable signature.
And another great memory was during Mayday's set and "Cabbage" was standing in front of me and it may be my imagination but I'm pretty sure he made eye contact with me while playing and it was intense (and quite wonderful!) haha so yeah
These are my favorite memories of the night! Plus I didn't even think I was gonna make it but my friends and I literally decided at like 5pm that we were gonna go and it def wasn't a mistake!
my most memorable experience was AP tour in Austin!
not to mention it was the week of SXSW. we drove early from san antonio to Austin and were like the 20th people in line at emos. It was cold and still dark, not to mention it was raining on and off. when we get there we were thinking.."yes, it stopped raining".. but nope... when we started walking from the parking garage to the venue.. thats when the rain started again. I just remember waiting for hours, huddled under a little umbrella and having WET WET WET towels covering my ALREADY WET body. Its actually crazy that I didnt get sick. as the hours went by, more and more people started cutting in line with their friends in front of us. by the time doors opened, there were aprox 200 people in front of us. i know, how sad! we were angry, cold, wet but still super pumped. as the line slowly, yet violently started moving... we finally got in and RAN to the small stage where the summer set would be playing! we shoved our way to front row!!! we got to enjoy most of their set until this really big mean girl started shoving everyone. I got shoved SO hard that I, and like 5 other people, fell TO THE GROUND. not to mention getting stepped on, punched and pushed to the back :( We ended up watching the rest of their show from the back of the crowd but thats ok because we had more room to rock out. although the morning started off rough and there were a couple of incidents, that was probably the best concert ever! i would relive it a thousand times!!!
My favorite AP Tour memory was from the 2010 tour. I went to the Bakersfield, CA show at The Dome and about halfway through The Summer Set's . . . er . . . set (heh), before Brian could introduce the next song, Josh called me out. I had been rocking out like a maniac and he pointed me out by saying, "Can I just say something? This girl right here, yeah, the one trying to hide behind her friend, she is my fucking favorite person right now. If every one could just watch her and rock out the way she does, that would be fucking amazing." All of a sudden, I felt a shitload of people through out the entire crowd turn and look in my direction. It was unbelievably embarrassing, but totally awesome at the same time. When I left the crowd, my friends who had been sitting up in the stands came up and said, "That was you that Josh called out, huh? Yeah, we knew it." Pretty epic.
My favorite AP tour memory happened at the past one. I was at school one day and my friend Sarah asked me if I wanted to go to a Never Shout Never concert. I was ecstatic about it. I went home and looked it up online and saw that The Summer Set, Every Avenue, and Hey Monday were coming too and I literally flipped out. The night of the concert I was sooo excited. The day seemed forever as if every second was an hour. This was one of my first concerts and after seeing other concerts I had to agree it was the best I've been to. All the bands where amazing. The Summer Set really knew how to get the crowd going and Every Avenue were just amazing. Hey Monday was sick when they sang Josey and Candles. They were all incredible. My favorite part of that night though was Christpher Drew's performance. I'm a huge fan of Never Shout Never and although I didn't get to meet him when he was signing just hearing his music was enough. His music is soooo good and I can relate to it in many ways. When he plays on stage its like he's your best friend. At the end everyone shouted for an oncore and he played The Past, which is one of my favorite songs. It touched my heart in an undiscribable way. That night I went home with a Never Shout Never and an Every Avenue shirt and multiple braclets. The night of the AP Tour made my year. It was unforgetable and beyond comprehension. I'm dying to know whos going to play at this years Fall AP Tour and hoping it'll be just as good as this years AP Tour. :)
The AP Tour was one of the best concert experiences ever. Three of my friends and I bought our tickets and could not wait until the show came around. When it did, we drove to Crocodile Rock, arrived a few hours before the show and there was a line of people around the building. My friend's father, who drove us to the concert, held our spot in line while the four of us went in the restaurant. Inside, my friend and I were at the condiments counter and Cassadee Pope from Hey Monday walked passed us. We were starstruck. A little while later, the doors opened and everyone flooded in and charged the stage. When we first got in, we met up with a few of our friends were also there. The seven of us pushed through and were in the middle of the crowd when the Summer Set came on. When the song the Boys You Do started, Brian asked if anyone has ever been cheated on, and that's when everyone went crazy. I felt like the band connected and involved the crowd, which was amazing. Next was Every Avenue and they were absolutely amazing along with Hey Monday and the Cab. By then, we were close enough to touch the stage. It was extremely hot and people were constantly shoving, but it was so exciting, so I barely noticed. During these three bands, there were too many people to count that were crowd surfing. It was insane. By the time Never Shout Never came on, two of my friends and I decided to browse the merch. We found my friend's dad at the bar and he was playing ping pong with Josh Randall. Her dad got Josh to sign our Every Avenue posters! Then we found Alex from the Cab and Dave from Every Avenue. As we were leaving, we saw Brian from the Summer Set and Josh Randall. We got pictures and signatures from all of them. The only person we didn't get unfortunately was Christofer Drew. On the ride home, we couldn't believe everything that just happened and couldn't sleep because of the excitement from that night. I'll never forget that concert.

My most memorable Warped Tour experience would have to be my first Warped Tour in 2007. The road trip to Minneapolis, MN was amazing, and the set list was phenomenal! I met Ash from New Years day, went crowd surfing at the Matches, and I even got to hang out with Cute Is What We Aim for! The whole thing was absolutely fantastic! I was as red as a lobster by the end of the day and sore from the top of my head to the tips of my toes from dancing, but the people were all fantastic and the bands amazing! We brought my brother with and he fell asleep under a tree for the whole day! Not sure how you can sleep through all of that, but we didn't get a single video because of him. No matter what it was the greatest concert I've been to yet.
It was my first concert in the longest time . It was April 2010 . I have been struggling with cutting, depression, and addiction to multiple drugs, perscription drugs, pretty much everything under the sun . I literally could not function without being wasted or high on something . And concerts were just an excuse to take it even more to the extreme. My friends bought me ticket knowing I really wanted to go, but they made the rule that I had to be sober. I went and it was the best experience I have had in the past 2 years. It kind of showed me that I could function without drugs and stuff and that people really did care for me. It gave me hope So I made the steps to stop my drug use as much as possible and I have stopped cutting. And I have been almost 4 months clean.

I would really love to go to warped tour as a way of just thanking my great friends, like "hey I'm here with you guys, we can see all our favorite bands, have fun, thanks for being there for me." If you guys could help me out that would be amazing, I really do want to go for the sake of my friends. :)

Wow. Just wow. Congrats on being sober for 4 months. I know what it's like to struggle with addiction. Honestly, I really hope you get to go to Warped. :]
