For me, the actual concert wasn't my favourite memory of AP this year. It was fantastic, don't get me wrong, but not my favourite memory.

My favourite memory was the chill time pre-concert with some of the band members. It's so crazy, looking back. Because until you're there and you actually SEE the amazing musicians that move you and inspire you just hanging around, eating, talking...you forget they're real people sometimes. The memory I will always cherish revolves around Alex Johnson, of The Cab.
I was hanging out by the fence, talking to other fans there before I went to get in line, and I put a cigarette in my mouth. (Yes, I smoke, and I know it's a bad habit. But on the plus side, I am over 18 and I wasn't handing them out to minors or anything.) I realized then that I'd used all of my matches and didn't have a lighter with me, so I peaked around the fence and just sort of yelled to ask if anyone had a lighter. Someone said yes, so I went through the fence and took the lighter someone was offering me, and then made a comment about the brand of cigarette he was smoking; it was the same as mine. He laughed and we started chit-chatting back and forth--nothing to impressive--and after a while I realized that he looked really familiar.
I was a big fan of The Cab before the AP Tour, but I'd only seen them in the Lost In Cancun videos, and music videos. And this was right after Johnson cut his hair all off, so it took me quite a while to recognize him. Then I started blushing and mumbling like an idiot, because it had taken me so long to notice it was him. When I finally got my words straight, I asked him if I was bothering him--if he was trying to have some alone time--and he told me I wasn't. My roommate and I sat down with him then, finishing our cigarettes and talking about our tattoos and the crazy kids that were walking through the fence on their way to get in line. It was only about fifteen minutes and then we went to get in line, but I'm really grateful still to Alex Johnson for letting a tattooed, pierced, smoking no one like me chill with him for a while, smoking a cigarette and shooting the shit.

Nothing in my life, I think, will ever top how cool it felt.
My most memorable memory from the AP Tour, well first off I went to the show in San Fransisco on Wednesday March 31 and I remember thinking earlier that day in school I hope Christofer Drew {NeverShoutNever!} does something funny! When I saw him on stage with that ridiculous raccoon looking hat, and at the end of his set he was walking off stage when he turned around and jumped into the crowd! It was the best thing ever, made my year so far(:
Yeah i was kinda confused about the title as well. Well i know what my favorite warped memory was. Okay so it was for warped 2007 and me and a friend were supposed to go but she cancelled at the last second. So i was desperately looking for someone else to come and we went to a show that was already over and i met this girl hella randomly...and somehow we magically ended up going to warped tour together two days later. At the beginning of the day it was kinda awkward cuz we didnt know each other much...but we kept getting closer as the day went on. I remember waiting for the last band of the day, which was bad religion, and then when they started playing things got so crazy that me and her ended up holding hands so we wouldnt get seperated and we were just jumping around getting crazyyy and it was the best. After the set i remember we had dirt all over us..even in our teeth. I didnt think i would end up holding hands with some girl that i knew for two days because it seems like it would have been really weird, but it suprisingly wasnt at all. Ha ha. We then became bestfriends and still are today :D
And i guess there is some deeper meaning of us holding hands that day, its like me and her are gonna stick together and not let anyone separate us. Ha ha. So there, is my favorite "warped" memory. Well actually, its not only my favorite warped memory, but one of my favorite memories in general, and it was all because of warped tour. ( :
My favorite AP Tour memory was picking out the most attractive guys from each of the bands. John Gomez was the top on my list because I love his glasses and he just seemed like he would be fun to hang with. My friend couldn't pick just one and ended up liking most of the guys there. Pretty much all of The Summer Set was in, Joey Thunder from The Cab, Jimmie Deeghan and David Ryan Strauchman from Every Avenue, of course Christofer Drew (whom both my friend and I LOVE), and I'm sure there were others but that is all I can remember right now. Anyways, after the concert we rushed out to try to find the guys we had said were the cutest and tried to get pictures with all of them. We failed at that being we only got pictures with 3 of them. It was an AMAZING concert and I can't wait to see y'all at Warped or other concerts in the future!
When my friend & I first got to New Haven, we were very early so we decided to just walk around for a while. While we were walking, we were about to stop into Urban Outfitters, when we saw Alex Deleon. He came up to us and started talking and we ended up talking to him for a really long time. He told us to meet up with him after the show. So, when we went into Toads we were bummed because there were so many people and we werent able to get to the front. So we were just hanging around and then we saw a security guard that was standing next to the barrier. My friend & I were trying to be friends with him, and luckily he liked us so he let us go in front of the barrier. After Every Avenue got off stage, they came down and started talking to us and they took us outside with them and we were hanging around. We went back into the venue after awhile and we went bak in front of the barrier. Alex Deleon held my hand at one point when he sang. It was magical. And I got a guitar pic from cartels set and one from WTK. Halfway through WTK, my friend and I felt really sick and dizzy and hot, so we went outside before we passed out. When we felt better we tied to get back in and they wouldnt let us in. Luckily there was a cop outside and we tried talking to him and he got us back in. NSN performance was amazing and intense. After the show we met Christofer Drew and we met up with The Cab again, and hanged out with them like all night. It was absolutely insane. So wondeful.

When we went to the AP tour, I was prepared for it to be roasting like it had been the past few days. So we got in the car and headed off, only to be met by a huge storm! And of course, we didn't have umbrellas or jackets or anything. So my brother and I got in line while it was pouring-and we were the only two people without umbrellas, jackets, or ponchos. The House of Blues wouldn't open early because of the rain. But it was hysterical, because my brother hadn't washed his hair out completely, so the rain kept getting shampoo in his eyes! It finally died down right before the line started moving. It was so funny! Once we got in, it was so awesome! I loved when Brian from The Summer Set played "I jump, you jump-and I have a broken ankle". Great job, AP! Can't wait to see your fall line-up!
I'm in a class at my school called Graphic Arts and for one of my projects I made a poster for the show because I was so excited. My plan was to get my homemade poster signed by anyone I could meet from the bands. So I carried my psychedelic, 60s style poster to the show. When I got out of my car, I realized it was raining. So I tucked it in under my shirt and ran to the store for Cirque du Solei. I asked the lady at the counter for a plastic bag. She just gave me a strange look (which makes sense since I was a dripping wet seventeen year old girl with something hiding in her shirt asking for an empty plastic bag) and handed over the bag. So I stowed the poster safely away in my bag. I carried it throughout the show, fighting off anyone who tried come close just in case they would run into it and mess with it.
After the show, I went outside to see everyone who had just finished playing. I explained to anyone I could find in the bands that I made the poster in class and wanted to have as many people as possible sign it. They all loved it, which was so cool for me, and gladly signed it. I got a signature from everyone I met (including the guy who looks kind of like a little red haired elf from The Cab). So now the poster hangs on my wall in my room, scattered with signatures of some of my favorite musicians and little white dots where the rain drops washed the ink away.
That's my AP Tour story.
Enjoy the poster.

(Yes, this is really the one I made in class. There for Tomorrow is on it because they played the Orlando stop of the AP Tour instead of Hey Monday. Even though I still met one of them outside and had him sign too.)
AP Tour was one of my favorite concerts. It was the concert where i met Christofer Drew <3. I also got to meet Jess&Josh who were both uber nice. I was, however, very dissapointed to not get to meet the rest of The Summer Set, especially John Gomez. I kept asking around at their merch table and i even asked Jess and Josh, but i never saw him. Other than that, the concert was AMAZING. One of my favorite parts was that little detail that they gave out loads of FREE Wonka candy, and FREE Rockstars. The combination of the two before the concert intensified the whole night x10. Once the show started, The Summer Set came on, and i was never satnding still. I love how funny Brian is on stage. In between every song he had something hilarious to say. Every Avenue, The Cab and Hey Monday were great too, but i was waiting to see Mr. Christofer Drew. His performance was the best i've seen of him, and i've been to 4 other concerts of his. It was great when he put on a bra that a girl threw on stage :0. I almost forgot about meeting that adorable creature of wrinkles, Lucy the pug. Overall, it was the best concert i've been to so far. I will be going to Warped Tour this year as well, and i can't wait :D.

The first time I saw The Summer Set, it was in August of 2008 in Des Moines, Iowa. There were probably about 20people there. Now, almost two years later, they've gotten significantly bigger and they've grown so much as a band. Their set was my favorite part of AP Tour because it was really cool to actually witness their growth (does that make sense?). This time there were hundreds of people there! It was SO cool to see tons of kids jumping up and down and singing along with them and it made me really proud of them for how far they've come! :) It was also John Gomez's birthday and I really enjoyed when he said, "It's my fucking birthday!" into the microphone. The whole crowd the proceeded to sing happy birthday to John and Alex DeLeon from The Cab (as it was his birthday, too). It was really cool to be a part of that!
I didn't exactly go to the AP Tour, but I went to Bamboozle and it was pretty much the same thing. Anyway, I had a VIP ticket, but my best friend didn't. It was sold out, but somehow my mom found her another ticket the day before. We were so happy. We met pretty much everybody - even Christofer Drew, who I had never met before and it was really exciting! We were even able to watch the Summer Set from the stage, which was the coolest thing ever. It was really energetic and I almost felt like I was part of the band. The whole experience was one that I'll never forget and would LOVE to be able to relive it.
The AP tour was the first concert I have ever been to. It was the the most amazing night of my life, I went with my best friend, who had just found out she overcame cancer. During the concert my friend and I had a blast, we were singing along with the bands and having a great time. After the concert we met a few bands and took some pictures; I really wished we could have met them all and talked to them, but we had to leave soon after it was over due to my friend still being weak because of her treatment. That night was amazing, and we even made shirts to wear to the concert. It was the best experience of my life, and I'm happy that i got to see my favorite bands preform live.
I've been to two AP tours. This years and last year and i have to say that both of them were amazing. Last years AP tour was my second concert ever. And with the crowd going wild during 3OH!3 performance, yelling at Nat to just take his shirt off already, and then Family Force 5 getting up there and rocking out. It was a blast. I got to meet Nick from A Rocket to the Moon and he was pretty sweet and signed my cd that i bought of theirs. Oh and the Maine was amazing with when John Oh starting to climb on the ceiling and hang there while he was singing.
But this years AP tour brought the most memories! The second that The Summer Set stepped on the staged, people went wild. I had only listened to two of there song before the concert just to get a feel of what they sounded like. And they did not disappoint me. I knew all the words to Chelsea and sang along, and found a way to sing a long to the rest of the songs they played. I even got complimented on my singing by other fans. Also, The Cab blew me away. I never listened to their band on a reg basis until after the show. And Every Avenue was just as amazing and better as i remembered hearing them
I'll never forget when Christofer Drew got on the stage and Never Shout Never started playing. I'd always wanted to see them live. I sang along with every single song while i was standing on my tippy toes trying not to get knocked over by the mosh pit that was going on right behind me. Then when a fan threw a bra at him and he wore it while singing was great. These were two of the best concerts i've been too!
