Station 4 in St Paul! All of us above 21's were hanging out in the bar together so the kids could enjoy the music and meet their favorite bands. Later that night Steve, the owner, had my daughter and her friends believing that we had just been hanging out on the tour bus with their favorite band. Psych! I'd take them to another AP tour in a heartbeat, it brought back college memories.
My AP Tour experience came from The Fall ball. I made it a trip to go to Florida to catch The AP tour last fall for an early birthday present to myself. I had such a great time, I dressed up for the dress to express contest even though I never saw anyone picking people of the line I still happy to be close to the front of the line. My tickets didn't come in the mail on time so I was waiting to get them while waiting I saw the Academy is guys walking to House of blues in Orlando I got so excited and I knew it was going to be a great time. Finally we got in and quickly ran to the signing The Academy is guys were having. William complemented on our outfits and I thought that was so nice and cool of him.
Quickly moved to the side front where no one was to watch the bands play. I love where I got to stand not to many people and it was pretty close to the stage. After You me at six some of the guys were at their merch table so while waiting for The secret handshake I went to say hi and take a picture with the lead singer of YMA6. You me at six and The secret handshake both played cover songs which I love when bands do that so it made my night even better.
After the show I got to met all the guys of Mayday Parade outside the venue. They were super nice and sweet. I also got to met Luise from the secret handshake.
I had an awesome time from dressing up, to meeting my favorite bands, it was definitely the best night ever!! Can't wait to hopefully catch the fall ball again in the fall.
I'd have to say my favorite moment was at the end of the show, but only because I missed The Summer Set's set by being forced to leave because of a family situation after being in line since 2:00 PM. I attended the AP date on May 4th in Pittsburgh pretty much only to see The Summer Set (along with The Cab and Every Avenue). I was waiting outside with my best friend towards the end of the show and we saw The Summer Set hanging out across the street from the venue. They looked kind of like they didn't want to be bothered though, so we both just sat outside for what I think was a good hour, hoping that they come back over to the venue so we could talk to them. The show ended and a group of fans ran across the street to go see them, and after the crowd of people dispersed, my best friend and I both went over and talked to Josh. He said I was really polite which made me smile and took pictures with both of us. I only got to talk to Josh, Brian, and John, but when I was talking to John, Charles, the guitarist for The Cab came over and tickled John in the stomach. T was absolutely hysterical. John talked to me for a decent amount of time about someone in the show who was in a wheelchair and mosh pits during shows. I love how personable The Summer Set is at their shows, and that's why this was definitely my favorite moment of the night. I can not wait to see them again at Warped.
Last year, I was walking and texting with my friend, as we were on our way to my cousin's band's tent. We'd been looking for it forever. Eventually, I managed to run into someone. I looked up from the phone to say sorry and he said "it's okey...would you like a picture or something?" I looked at him like 'WTF' and replied awkwardly "no...thanks..." with a little laugh because I thought it was just some random guy. Looked back down at the phone, I stood there expecting him to walk away but then I realized he hadn't moved. I looked back up and stared at him for a moment as if to ask "can I help you?" with my eyes. After a few moments we shrugged at each other exchangingly; untill, eventually, he gestured toward a tent and said "would you like to buy something then...or something?" I looked up at the tent where he'd gestured. It was There For Tomarrow's. I looked back down at him and suddenly began to recognize him as my all time favorite singer from my all time favorite band (of which I'd been waiting all year to meet and see in concert). I stood there stupified for a moment, not knowing what to say. He broke the silence with "are you okey?" Quickly, I responded, "Actually, can I get that picture still?" He said "of corse!...what made you change your mind?" and of corse, I had no answer, so I just said, "I didn't think you'd let me..." HOW EMBARASSING! He laughed and asked me why not and I had no idea what to say so I just said "I don't know". We took the picture and I bought a few CDs-signed by the band. Then, I went off to continue looking for my cousin's band's tent-which turned out to be right next to There For Tomarrow's. They'd been in Alphabetical Order the whole time and I had no idea...my cousin's band is TV/TV. LMFAO!!!

To add to that story-I just wanna say that The Warped Tour is the best concert-festival-thing ever because you always come back with more stories than you can possibly ever tell. I have so many-I can't even really tell if this is my favorite one...I mean, there was the time I caught a beautiful skullcandy neckalace from Family Force 5; or the time I dug in the mud for backstage passes; or the time I got to play with The Millionaire's hair, or the time I went on the condom motion ride with my friend...there is so many-it is absolutely amazing!
Not to sound cliche but i thought the whole atmosphere was amazing, I've went to Ap tour ft All Time Low,FTSK,and The Rocket Summer and i also went to the Fall Ball Tour. I think AP tours are my absolute favorite concerts, and i would chose them over any big arena concert any day. All the bands chosen for the show are beyond amazing and always compliment each other so well. When i saw the AP tour i could feel the energy from just watching the bands preform. I just think yeah this is what they live for, they love this and you can see it when they play or when you meet the band members afterwards, their smiles to see fans is just the most amazing thing. To see some of the bands that i have grown with and seen many times makes me so happy to see them play on the stage. I will never forget my experiences at the AP tours. It is the one night where you just forget everything and just enjoy the music. I've never met The Summer Set but they seem like the most fun to be around. If i don't get this i will most definitely attending Warped Tour to catch them in action and you can count on me for attending the upcoming AP tours! Even when I'm in college this fall!! <3
My favorite AP Tour memory came from about 2 years ago with All Time Low, The Rocket Summer, The Matches, Sonny Moore, and Forever the Sickest Kids. It was the second concert I had ever been to, and definitely one of the best. First of all, my friend and I got up front and center for FTSK which was really sweet and then after their set we had met Jonathon right as he was leaving the show. It was also storming outside that night and so during parts of the show we would go upstairs by the balcony and watch the lightning and thunder, which was so cool and the wind had felt really nice after getting all hot and sweaty. Then later that night once ATL came on, aside from having a hilarious intro, they started playing Remembering Sunday and everyone in the venue sat down on the ground and started slowly swaying their arms back and forth with lighters and cellphones. It was so much fun. I remember Alex G. going "What the ....?" and giving us the oddest look, haha. It was great.
Holy crap, everyone elses memories are long, mines real simple:)
My best memory from the AP tour was when Hey Monday singer, Cassadee, complemented me on my awesome headband right in the middle of How Do You Love Me Now! It was so awesome! p.s. Cassadee is the hottest singer i know:)
April 19, 2010 Culture Room, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Since Singer's birthday was in April, I decided to incorporate the idea of Vegas and the album artwork onto sneakers(that I make/design/paint). The day of the concert, Instead of standing in line, we stood by the entry, in hopes of finding an Alex walking around. With my luck, Marshall walks by inside. Instantly, I call him over, holding my shoes in the air. He comes to the door and begins looking at them with a huge smile on his face and goes "Ohhhhh Shiiitttt...these are insane!" and I'm like flipping a shit cause he's looking at them with his mouth wide open and telling me how talented I am. Now, people are coming up to where I am trying to get to him too, and the security tells us all to leave, so he promises to let Deleon know, and goes off. Now her mom stand in line, & we stand by the door. A few seconds later, shes saying she needs to 'use the restroom'. Our venue was in a strip mall so we walked to a pizza place right next door. We were talking to a girl there who tells us that Christofer Drew is just walking to his tour bus, so we BOLT, and right before we get to him, some dude comes up and tells us to give him his personal space. He agreed to hug 3 girls that were there, and we were about to walk away, when he sees my best friend's sad face, and goes "aww! Come here!" and hugs her, then says "i like your dress, its really cute" it was ADORABLE<3(then I got a hug too :D) After that, we go back to the pizza place and ask for a restroom. We walk to the back, and as I'm waiting, I take a look around the restaurant and see Deleon sitting at a table by himself eating pizza...I couldn't believe my luck. So after she finishes, we go up to him(even though we felt horribly rude for interrupting him). So we walk up to him, and before I'm done apologizing to him, he stands up and hugs me. I think I got a total of like 10 hugs before we walked out of there. We talked to him for about ten minutes, and left. Before going back to the line, we see him inside, showing other AP people the shoes, and I'm ecstatic. When he walked out, he was taking pictures with fans, holding the shoes I made him<3 The concert itself was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Even though its only my second AP, they have an amazing track record for rocking my world, and surpassing all my expectations. During the show, John kept pointing at us, Cassadee returned a heart to one of my friends, Lipshaw threw two of his pics right at me, I had asked some hottie for Hey Monday's set list before they performed, and he actually remembered and gave it to me when they finished!!, I got first row for Hey Monday and the Cab, Deleon came up to me, held my hand and sang right into my face, Dave jumped into the crowd riiight next to me....too too much. It was crazy amazing.

After the show, I had the pleasure of meeting Deleon again, along with Brian(SUCH a sweetheart) and John(got a picture of him kissing my cheek!&<3) from the Summer Set, Josh, Jimmie, and Matt from Every Avenue(they are sooo chill, I loved them). As if the Fall Ball wasn't ridiculously sick enough, they came back and hit us with this. You KNOW a concert is good when you only get 4 hours of sleep and still survive through classes the next day, wide awake, ears still ringing, body sore...but still on cloud nince, with the biggest smile on your face. THANK YOU, AP, for the best 17th birthday present I could ever ask for. <3 I can seriously say that these are the best $16 I have and ever will spend in my entire life.

Lets see, my favorite Alternative Press tour happened to be my first ap tour concert. It was at Seattle, Washington at El Corazon. I decided to take my best friend and this was like her first time going to a legitimate concert that wasn't at a parking lot or a big Jonas Brother concert. We got to the venue 3 hours early, because we were that excited. I kinda didn't expect so much interaction with all the bands and it was crazy awesome! We stood right in front of the door of the tour bus in line and not on purpose. AHAHA and the people coming out of the bus were so freaked out because they were scared that they would hit fan. I joked to my best friend, saying "I don't care if they hit me, as long as its by someone famous, or close to being famous. Its for a good cause." That was just outside waiting at the venue, it started hailing, so I "borrowed" a hobo's umbrella, because me and my best friend weren't being smart about Seattle's weather and we shared the nasty, moldy hobo's umbrella with some people we met in line. To be honest, I wasn't AT FIRST, thrilled for every avenue or the summer set. That was a bad bad judgment. When The Summer Set went on stage, I almost piss my pants on how amazing they were, I totally fell in love with them. I was on John's side of the stage, i got to reach this arm. It was LOVELY.That was the same night that Brian Dales was wearing his cast, because he sprained his ankle from another state. After their set, was Every Avenue, and boy they were freaking awesome! I got to meet Joey, the bassist for the cab, and I love love the cab. Joey was pretty much the sweetest thing ever, I couldn't believe how nice he was and his hair was fiery red, it was hot. lol. Afterward, me and my best friend kept getting sucked in the mosh pit because the venue had to be half the size of a Gymnasium. I sang to every song on Hey Monday's set. Me and my friend bought Hey Monday t-shirts to match. Then continue watching NeverShoutNever. I adore Christofer Drew <3. Of course, we had to sing every song on their set because they were headlining it. When the concert was over, before I left, I had to buy The Summer Set's album "Love Like This" and out of no where Jess walks by....and I was like no "flipping way!" I was nervous at first but I just went for it and Jess was being super cool and chill about signing my C.D because she helped me ripped off the plastic that was impossible to get off but yeah, she was buff too. Ahh! :D I totally look up to her as a drummer. I like how she doesn't mind being the only girl in the band because she and the band considers her as a dude and call her "Jeff". hehe
We met more people outside in the cold rain, but it was definitely worth it. I will never forget that day. AP Tour April 3, 2010.
Lol okay, so I went to the Philadelphia and Allentown dates. Philly was alright, the show was fun but that was really all. The Allentown show was probably one of the best shows I've ever been to and I didn't even watch all of the bands! Obviously, I watched The Summer Set, but as soon as they were finished, I went out to get food from the cafe (since I had been fasting for 30 hrs). Anyways, I hung out outside for most of the night with one goal: Meet Joey Thunder. My friends and I went to the parking lot near The Cab's bus and the second I saw Joey Thunder, I grabbed my friend and was like "Oh my god....that's Joey Thunder." Now, I'm not a fangirl for anyone but that man. I had decided earlier on that when I met him I had to tell him that he was a beautiful person. I felt bad at first because he was super hungry and I was holding him back, but he told me not to worry about it. I was on the brink of urination when I told him he was a beautiful, sweet person. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that I will remember our conversation for a while, and the funniest part is that he won't even remember my face :)
AP tour was such a memorable night to me, because it was the day when half the tour was stuck in the mountains due to bad weather so The Summer Set, and Every Avenue played acoustic. We had some of the best spots in the house (balcony right by the speakers) and my friedns would hold our spots letting us run down to the lobby to meet bands. We hung out with John Gomez a lot, and wished him a happy early birthday! He called one of my best friends, who was seeing Taylor Swift instead that night, and yelled at her for leaving me to go see Taylor. Hey Monday played the most amazing set I think I've ever seen. When nevershoutnever did theis encore, I started crying. Seeing how much all these guys and girl (can't forget Jess! Even though she wasn't there ): ) love and care about what they do is just too amazing to describe. It made me so happy when Jersey's face (from Hey Monday) lit up when I approached him before their set, or getting to argue with Jimmie from Every Avenue about hockey. These people absolutely love what they do, and I don;t think I've seen that more at any other concert than AP tour.
Of course the whole damn concert was friggen awesome! minus the fact that it rained, but it didn't even matter since i met so much of my role models, my mouth hurt from smiling :) I saw ate lunch next to Alex Deleon and the drummer from NSN and Alex and Brian agaiin at Loblaws, which was across from the venue. Then Every Avenue was signing and I talked to Josh, it was so awesome! I was so excited when The Summer Set came on, since they one of my fav bands. The crowd was so crazy, it made me happier to see everyone enjoying their music since I thought me and my friend would be one of the only ones who've head of them (we were wrong). Sadly, my EA poster got lost in the mosh pits and pushing and stuff, but the whole night makes up for it. I think something was up with Dave's mic cuz it wasn't too loud at times, but they still kicked butt. Cassadee has so much energy on stage, it just makes you want to jump around too :) and I also got pushed into a mosh pit... but that was a fun experience haha. Deleon's voice is so amazing, I love The Cab :) Joey Thunder is so rocker on the bass, it makes me wish I was on stage too. For NSN me and Katrina walked around and bought merch and I saw John Gomez and got pictures with him and a hug! That def had to be my fav part of the night, I was smiling soooo much! :D Then we also met Josh Montgomery and Joey Thunder, 2 more awesome people. After I saw Deleon and Josh from EA but I was too nervous to say anything to them. After the show I saw Jobe again, but he was busy packing stuff in their van. I saw Stephen smoking too. I really wish I could've seen Jess or John again, but sadly we had to leave. It was by far the best night this year, I loved it and I wish I could re-live it again and again an again! :) <3 Can't wait to see who's playing for the AP Fall concert :)
